Nichols – Nashville Family Photographer

I recently went on vacation with my entire family. Entire. As in parents, sisters, spouses, kids. There were 10 of us. We visited my dad’s side of the family in Nashville. And while in Nashville I got the chance to visit with some dear, dear friends of mine, The Nichols. I met Zach years ago in the hallway of the commercial music building on the campus of South Plains College in Levelland, TX. And later met Joni before they were even a couple. To see them date, get married, travel off to follow their dreams and along the way start a family… I’m just so glad to still be a part of their lives! They currently live in Nashville where they raise their two kids, are a part of the music scene and are following the will of God where He leads them. If you don’t know them, let me introduce you to the talent that is Zach & Joni Nichols.

And I have to include the link to their CD. When this first released, it stayed in my CD player playing continuously for I don’t know how long. Now, when any one of the songs comes up on the playlist in iTunes, it grips my heart. I hope you feel the same way about their music as I do! http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/joninichols

Now that I’ve rambled on and on… let’s get to some photos!

This next picture makes me smile. Her eyes are similar to a face Zach makes. :)

As I mentioned in my intro, Zach & Joni are musically gifted. And I could tell that Josiah is just as gifted. Here is a picture of him singing Do Re Mi from The Sound of Music. Doesn’t it just melt your face off?!?!

This last photo I’m going to share is perhaps my favorite… but it IS so hard to choose…

Isn’t he absolutely adorable? He could model for children’s magazines.

Thanks again for allowing me to capture these snapshots of your lives!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Jasmine. I had so much fun on this shoot and get excited each time I work on one of her pictures. She is so photogenic. And those eyes! Seriously… they are so piercing. Hope you enjoy this sneak peek Jasmine and I’ll have your gallery completed and to you soon. Thanks for being fun to work with!

*I had a couple of comments for some of the pictures but wordpress isn’t loading them correctly… grrrr. I’m sure it’s user error but because I don’t have time to figure it out right now, I took them out. So I’ll just say… aren’t the blue shoes awesome?! I love ‘em!

McGee – Senior

So I’m slowly branching out there in the photography world. For some reason, it is difficult for me. I know it is something I want to do and it’s something I enjoy doing, but to actually put myself out there and be vulnerable to criticism is difficult. But here I go…

My very first Senior to photograph is Zach McGee. Isn’t he brave trusting in me? :) I’ve known his family for some time but have never had the chance to get to know him. We met up on the Wednesday following Christmas for his Senior portraits. In my opinion, he was the perfect person for my 1st senior. He was nice, easy-going, charming and pleasant to deal with. Thanks Zach! Hope you enjoy this sneak peek!
